I’m Just Like You

I’m just like you; we are the same.  I awaken each day and hope for good things.  I try my best to do what I need to do to control my diabetes, but I don’t always succeed.  I have excellent days when it seems the stars have aligned to give me great numbers, elevated mood, healthy satisfying foods and ample exercise.  I have frustrating days when nothing seems to go right.  I have days that are both good and bad.  There are times when an out-of-whack glucose reading can send me into a downward spiral even though I know it’s not my fault.  I do the dance of joy when my meter shows me an amazingly good number!  I cry.  I laugh.  I dance like no one is watching.  I love my family and enjoy my good friends.  I’m just like you.

My food plan is not yours.  We take different meds and supplements.  You and I have different methods to include exercise in our lives….or maybe we don’t exercise enough.  Our diabetes is at different stages and our bodies react to everything differently.  We have our differences, but we are the same.
I’m just like you.

I truly love to receive comments from readers, however, if your comment includes a link to a website about diabetes or information on how you "cured" your diabetes, it won't be published. If your profile name links to a website about diabetes, it won't be published. If you also write a blog and would like me to include it in my blog roll, please say so in a comment and I'll do that. Thanks.
