I am NOT a doctor, dietician or expert. Do I know everything there is to know about diabetes? Heck no, but I do know what it’s like to live with it.

Play that horn
Write three things you love about yourself – things you’re great at – or just want to share about yourself that are important to you.
I’ve begun to realize that I’m a fairly patient person. I mean, we all have our days where we are tapping our foot at the car in front of us that’s going 10 mph, but for the most part, I’m a patient person. (I’m also a person who’s a patient. Haha)
I’m also kind, which goes nicely with the patience thing. Yes, I’ve been known to roll my eyes at someone’s stupidity but I am generally a nice person. Back when I used to work (have I told you how much I LOVE retirement???), part of my job was to teach others how to use software. I was told that I had a knack for doing that because I was patient and nice. I never berated someone for “not getting it”. I just went over it again. The thing that I like about me in this regard is that it is genuine. I’m not just showing it on the outside, I feel it on the inside too.
Before you get to thinking that I’m some sort of saint, I have been known to vent and rail against someone’s thick-headedness once I got home from work (just ask Ray) but I usually only get that upset when someone doesn’t want to learn; when they would rather someone else did it for them. That is something I don’t like or have much patience for.
A third thing….hmmmmm. Well, I enjoy figuring out problems and I’m pretty good at it, eventually. I think that’s one reason I was so good at my job; administering the software program that we used for SO many things at the school district where I worked. If there was a problem I could usually figure it out and fix it rather than just calling support. I like to think puzzles through and come up with an answer….and I’m patient and kind while I do it. :P (I’m also fond of my sense of humor. It can be smart-assy but I like it.)
This is it! This is the last post for National Health Blog Posting Month and I did it! I managed 30 posts in November, amazing. I missed out on November 1st because I didn’t find this until the 2nd, however, I did post twice on November 28th. I’m pretty sure I only got off topic once. It’s been a challenging and fun process, this posting every day on someone else’s prompt. I wasn’t always thrilled with what I wrote. I feel as if I sometimes didn’t give it the time it deserved. I may go back and flesh out some of those posts down the road. I’ve also enjoyed the increase in reads that I’ve experienced. I’m hoping that some of you will stop back by now and then. I hope that I’ve managed to interest some people to read what I have to say. Thanks for reading.
